In the April 2010 issue of Astronomy, author Dan Falk introduces us to English scientist Thomas Harriot. In the early 17th century, Harriot made observations similar to some made by Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei. The observations have led some historians to refer to Harriot as “England’s Galileo.”
