In this episode, Astronomy magazine Editor Emeritus Dave Eicher invites you to head out in the evening sometime soon and point a telescope at the Crab Nebula, which lies in the constellation Taurus the Bull. Also known as Messier 1, or M1, the Crab is an example of a supernova remnant — the expanding gas cloud of a massive star that exploded long ago. Good luck!
