Alien Life, Science

Did we find signs of life on K2-18 b? Not yet, but we might.

Space Exploration

Researchers say Earth’s crust is filled with a self-healing material that can power, protect the guts of spacecraft

‘It’s going to be awesome’: How the Vera C. Rubin Observatory will survey space and time

Artist's rendition of asteroid Psyche
Solar System

Could Psyche be the core of the planetesimal that struck Earth and formed the Moon?

This is an image of a globular cluster around our Milky Way. The authors of a new study think that what they see in the Cosmic Gems arc will become this object. Credit: NASA/ESA.
Cosmology, Exotic Objects, Science

Unusual glimpse of Cosmic Gems could be a breakthrough for astronomers

A single crescent moon is a familiar sight in Earth's sky, but with Saturn's many moons, you can see three or even more. The three moons shown here are Titan (3,200 miles or 5,150 kilometers across), Mimas (246 miles or 396 kilometers across), and Rhea (949 miles or 1,527 kilometers across). This view looks toward the anti-Saturn hemisphere of Titan. North on Titan is to the right. Credit: NASA.
Science, The Moon

Why does Earth have only one Moon?

An artist impression of a Fast Radio Burst (FRB) reaching Earth. The colors represent the burst arriving at different radio wavelengths, with long wavelengths (red) arriving several seconds after short wavelengths (blue). This delay is called dispersion and occurs when radio waves travel through cosmic plasma.
Exotic Objects, Science

One-shot fast radio bursts may emerge from Milky Way-like galaxies, new research suggests

In this enhanced-color version of the mosaic, the color bands of the image have been processed to improve visual contrast and accentuate color differences
