This week, we’re celebrating Astronomy magazine’s 50th anniversary issue. It was 50 years ago in August 1973 that the very first issue of this magazine was published. Our August 2023 issue is a blowout retrospective of the past half-century of the science and the hobby of astronomy.
We’re currently living in a golden age of astronomy, drinking from a proverbial firehose of exciting research that addresses some of the biggest questions of the cosmos. We can’t wait to bring you the next 50 years in astronomy!
