A rosette is a rosette
Massimo Di Fusco, taken from Ferrara, Italy
The Little Rosette Nebula (Sharpless 2–170) in Cassiopeia is not as frequently imaged as its bigger namesake in Monoceros. But like the Rosette Nebula, it contains pillars of dark, dense dust that are birthing infant stars. This image combines over 19 hours of exposure from an 8-inch scope at f/4.8 using dual- and quad-band filters.
