Astronomy magazine podcast: Mercury revealed

Find out what MESSENGER discovered about the innermost planet.
Mercury's younger side
Craters dot this part of Mercury, located on the side unseen by Mariner 10. A few craters show bright rays — a sign they are relatively young. Such rays fade away as exposure to tiny meteoroids and solar-wind particles darkens them.
