Last November, Senior Editor Rich Talcott and I traveled to Africa to view the total solar eclipse and serve as astronomers on our tour groups; Rich went to Kenya and Zanzibar and I to Gabon and Morocco. While the celestial spectacle was the major reason for both trips, we packed in a lot of other sightseeing into their journeys.
