The evening of Nov. 8 2022 offered skywatchers in parts of Asia and North America a rare chance to see a totally eclipsed Moon occult Uranus. Under normal circumstances, Uranus (at around magnitude 5.7) would be lost in the Moon’s glare, but the dimmed Moon during totality allowed both to seen (and photographed) at the same time. Here, the planet exits the occultation in this video still (exposure time of 1/20 second) taken with a Celestron C8 and planetary camera.
