NGC 6188 is sometimes classified as emission nebula, but it is the dark tendrils of dust in the foreground that give the object its nickname: the Fighting Dragons of Ara. This 4-panel mosaic was taken with a 12-inch scope in Hα/OIII/LRGB filters. Click the image to see it in high resolution.
