CTA 1 is a faint supernova remnant in Cepheus that is also cataloged as SNR G119.5+10.2. Its arc is relatively well defined to the south and east; the more diffuse appearance to the northwest indicates where the blast wave of material from the supernova encountered less resistance from the interstellar medium. The imager used an 11-inch RASA and took over 36 hours of exposure in the Hubble palette.
