Meade Instruments, leading designer and manufacturer of telescopes and optical accessories, announced the promotion of Victor Aniceto to president today. Aniceto's responsibilities include overseeing the company's sales, distribution, operations, and growth strategies.

"Victor exemplifies the type of strong leadership and hard work needed to make Meade Instruments a better and stronger company," said CEO Peter Ni. "I'm confident his record of success and in-depth knowledge of the industry will bring efficiency, innovation, and progress to our company."

In his previous position as vice president of sales and marketing, Aniceto was influential in establishing sales and marketing initiatives that resulted in significant growth for the company. Aniceto succeeds former president, Joseph Lupica Jr., who recently retired in September 2014.

"I am honored to receive this opportunity to lead Meade Instruments," said Aniceto. "I look forward to working with our industry partners, promoting the brand and increasing our market share. It's a great time to be associated with a legacy brand such as Meade Instruments."

Aniceto brings with him over 20 of experience in the optics industry, managing relationships with a wide range of suppliers, retailers, and distributors worldwide.
