This image presents in outstanding detail an extended stellar tidal stream wrapping around the edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 5907, located about 53 million light-years away in the constellation Draco the Dragon. This picture shows how the accretion of a low-mass satellite galaxy can produce an interwoven, rosettelike structure of debris dispersed in the halo of its host galaxy.
