Galaxy II ZW 96, imaged here by the James Webb Space Telescope, is one of four merging luminous infrared galaxies (LIRGs) selected from the Great Observatories All-sky LIRGs Survey (GOALS) sample. Astronomers are targeting these galaxies as part of Early Release Science program #1328.
