The Cat’s Paw Nebula (NGC 6334) and the Lobster Nebula (NGC 6357) lie in Scorpius at distances of 5,500 light-years and 8,000 light-years, respectively. This vista is filled with the red glow of hydrogen and blue hues from oxygen, both ionized by young stars forming within these massive clouds of gas and dust. This imager used a 6-inch f/3.3 scope to take 51.5 hours of exposure in SHORGB filters.
