Double arches

The Milky Way is joined in this panorama by a second arch formed by sunlight scattering off the solar system’s cloud of interplanetary dust. This dust cloud is the cause of two related phenomena — the zodiacal light and the gegenschein. The photographer used an astromodified Canon DSLR at ISO 3200 and lens at 24mm and f/2.8 lens, capturing 27 frames of 25 seconds each to create the final panorama.
