The Chandra X-ray Observatory imaged x rays from this petite brown dwarf, named TWA 5B, and its brighter companion stars (which appear here as one large star) on April 15, 2001. The brown dwarf orbits the binary star system at a distance about 2.75 times that of Pluto's orbit around the sun.
