Hubble Space Telescope observations reveal a dust ring around Fomalhaut lies off-center from the star, thanks to the gravity of a yet-unobeserved planet. Astronomers imaged the ring by blocking the star's direct light, much as you can look close to the Sun by putting your thumb over it.
