New processing of Lunar Prospector data gives scientists a better look at the Moon's thorium, which exists almost exclusively on the Earth-facing side. Lighter colors indicate higher thorium levels. Thorium lows mark Copernicus and Pythagoras craters, which punched into the Moon's feldspar-rich crust.
