The last frame of Ranger 9’s P3 camera is incomplete, having been snapped just quarter-second before impact. The spacecraft hit the Moon before the camera’s electronics could read out and transmit the entire frame. North lies at about 1 o’clock and the frame is about 70 yards top to bottom.
