This series shows the universe at the present time as modeled by the Millennium Simulation. Each panel zooms in 2 times to a cluster of galaxies. The scale difference between the first and last panels is on the order of 1,000. The Millennium Simulation was performed at the computer center at the Max-Planck Society in Garching, Germany.
