Mapping temperatures in Abell 754 shows a lot of extremely hot gas that has been heated by shock waves as the two galaxy clusters collide. White indicates temperatures of hundreds of millions of degrees while blue regions are cooler. (Even so, the blue temperatures reach 130 million degrees.)
