This meteorite was one of dozens that has been found south of Chicgao. The fall was witnessed by many people who reported seeing a meteor explode moments before meteorites crashed to the ground and through building roofs. Scientists believe the meteorites came from an ordinary chondritic asteroid from the asteroid belt.
