As Huygens drifted toward Titan's surface, heading toward its landing site in a dark area (right), the probe passed over a plateau (center). The dark area is possibly a drainage channel which might still contain liquid material. These images are part of the Huygens descent panorama and were taken from an altitude of about 5 miles (8 km) above the surface.
