Description
Every Friday night (weather permitting) the observatory is open free of charge for public observation. Situated in Ninigret park and wildlife refuge, Frosty Drew has some of the darkest skies in R.I. and the east coastline of the U.S.A. Our Friday night equipment consists of a 16" SCT housed in an Ash dome, a 10" Newtonian on a Dobsonian mount, and other portable telescopes. The astronomers usually stay on site until pre-dawn Saturday morning. Come out and enjoy our beautiful dark skies!
