Description
First ever May Star Party held in the RASC designated dark sky preserve at Gordon’s Park with 360 degree viewing, no light pollution & the darkest skies in Ontario.

Activities include a Welcome Wine & Cheese Reception, Public Observing Sessions, Laser Guided Sky Tours, Guest Speakers, Nature Interpretive Centre, Mini Putt Challenge, Children’s Playground, Wind up Campfire & Saturday Night Potluck Supper. Presenters for 2013 to be announced.

The Observing Field/Dark Sky Preserve (DSP) is open and flat. Camping is in the DSP. Medium size RV's (28 feet) can easily navigate the road to the DSP. There is no power or water in the DSP. The DSP features a picnic/presentation shelter and privy toilets. Showers, water, ice, snacks are available at the main building.

Directions
From the North: From highway 17N take highway 6 south. Gordon's Park is about 100km south of the town of Espanola on the right (west) side of highway 6.

From the South: take highway 6 to the town of Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Penisula. Take the Ferry to South Baymouth (Manitoulin Island).
