Observing Basics web extra: Track down more Scorpius double stars

June 28, 2010
In my August column, I wrote about the double stars of Scorpius and the best double star resources to help you with your observing. Writing the column reminded me of a time many years ago when I wrote another column about Scorpius doubles.
When Glenn Chaple wrote a monthly column about double stars for Deep Sky Monthly in the late 1970s, he drew out the accompanying star maps. This sketch pictures the double stars for Scorpius.
