Choose the right dome for your needs
Download Contributing Editor Mike D. Reynold's article about three ready-made domes to help you with your observatory purchase.

| In the March 2009 issue, I wrote a how-to about building a backyard observatory. One section discussed deciding between a dome or roll-off roof. Most amateur astronomers who select a domed roof purchase a ready-made dome from a manufacturer. If this is what you choose to do, I would recommend rereading Contributing Editor Mike D. Reyond's article "Choose the dome that's right for you" (May 2008). |
