Stephen Hawking rushed to the hospital
University of Cambridge communications offical says the famed scientist will remain there overnight.

World-famous scientist Stephen Hawking was hospitalized today, according to officials at Cambridge University in England, where the professor works. He is suffering from a chest infection and was described as "very ill" earlier in the day. However, his condition has improved, according to Gregory Hayman, the head of communications at Cambridge. "He is comfortable and will spend the night (at the hospital)," Hayman said.
Hawking gained fame for his book A Brief History of Time, which was wildly popular and remained on the bestseller list for more than 4 years. He is widely regarded for his work on theories regarding black holes. The scientist suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease) and uses a wheelchair. He communicates with a voice synthesizer.
