A pair of open clusters in Cassiopeia, spiral galaxy NGC 520, and the Sculptor Dwarf
November 3–10, 2011: Open clusters NGC 381 and NGC 436 in Cassiopeia offer small-telescope owners nice views, while large-telescope owners can seek out spiral galaxy NGC 520 in Pisces and the Sculptor Dwarf.

 Although designated NGC 520, this week's first large-telescope target actually is a pair of interacting galaxies in Pisces that astronomers cataloged as a single object. To find it, look 4.5° west-southwest of magnitude 4.4 Nu (ν) Piscium.
