Open cluster M29, spiral galaxy NGC 6951, and the Egg Nebula

September 8-15, 2011: Open cluster M29 in Cygnus offers small-telescope owners a nice view, while large-telescope owners can seek out spiral galaxy NGC 6951 in Cepheus and the Egg Nebula in Cygnus.

To find this week's small-telescope target, open cluster M29 in Cygnus, look 1.8° south of magnitude 2.2 Sadr (Gamma [γ] Cygni).

90 mm bushnell zom from 25 to45 magnefacation.Looked at 1/4 moon 30th of November,quite impressive.This bushnell I actually used for photography 25 years ago,birdphotography.After all those years pulled it from my storage,it is impressive to pull the moon in so close.I noticest alarge crater right upper side and two smaller ones left bottom.At my age I think sitting down would be more enjoyable.Any information I enjoy.Detlef Falkenhagen

Each week I go stright to this article. Only problem is although I have a 8" Celestron SE, now I am saving for something in the 14" range. The more I view, the more I read, the larger I want.
