On January 27, 1967, a fire raced through the Apollo 1 capsule, killing the crew: Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom, Edward H. White II, and Roger B. Chaffee. In this week's show, NASA historian Glen Asner discusses what caused this fire and how it influenced future Apollo missions.
