| Mars is back! Raise the banners, strike up the band, sound the ... Okay, so maybe I'm hyping things up a bit much. Still, it would be hard for me to recreate the media circus that occurred last time Mars was at Earth's back door. I'm referring to the great opposition of late August 2003, when Mars was nearer to Earth 35 million miles (56 million kilometers) than at any time in recorded history. |
