Reader mail often includes worried questions about make-believe astronomy. Lately, "Planet X" has been big. This is an imaginary world that supposedly will soon crash into us, and the government has forced astronomers to keep it secret. This silliness comes mostly from fake-science paranoid web sites. If some of your friends are fearful that a horrible comet or planet is about to destroy Earth, just tell them this:
