 Rich edits "The sky this month" in the center of Astronomy as well as science and hobby features. In addition, he has written more than 100 feature articles for the magazine. He also produces most of the maps and diagrams you see in Astronomy and Explore the Universe. Each year, he produces Astronomy's beautiful Deep Space Wonders calendar. In collaboration with Joel Harris, Rich authored Chasing the Shadow: An Observer's Guide to Eclipses. He has witnessed five total solar eclipses — and hopes to add many more to the total. Rich and his wife, Evelyn, live in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he enjoys playing softball and cheering on his favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees. |
