A lunar dip through the Pleiades

| Get ready for an action-packed session of lunar hide-and-seek when the Moon crosses in front of the sparkling Pleiades star cluster (M45) October 9/10. Unlike the crescent Moon event last April — which was a fantastic sight through binoculars — light from the waning gibbous Moon during this crossing diminishes the stars' light, making a telescope a necessity. |
