Bob Berman's strange universe: Goodbye, Pluto

December 2006: The final International Astronomical Union's Pluto edict produced consequences.
As we all know, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) gave Pluto the boot. What amazes me is how many people care deeply about it. Some are actually depressed. They grew up with Pluto, and now it's been demoted to a dwarf, like many other Disney characters.
